Place in a big town house at Edwardian,'' First World War and Inter War Belgravia in London, the series depicts the lifestyles of their servants"downstairs" and also their masters--that the household"up stairs". Great events feature prominently from the episodes however gradual or minor changes are noticed. The series stands as a record of the social and technological changes which happened between 1903 and 1930.
