The Jetsons
The Jetsons is a American animated sitcom produced by HannaBarbera airing in prime time in 1962-1963, then after as a portion of the weekday/weekend early programming block called The Funtastic World of HannaBarbera, until 1987. New episodes were produced from. It was Hanna-Barbera's Spaceage counterpart to The Flintstones. Re runs can be seen frequently on Boomerang.
The Jetsons are now living in a futuristic utopia of inventions, aliens, holograms, along with intricate robotic contraptions from the season 2062 As the Flintstones are now living in a world with machines powered by dinosaurs and birds.
The original show contained 24 episodes and aired on Sunday nights with prime time reruns continuing through September 8, 1963, on ABC beginning September 2-3, 1962. At the time of its introduction, it was the very first program ever. In contrast, The Flintstones, while stated in color, was still broadcast in gray for its first two seasons. After its own prime time run, the show aired for years on Saturday mornings, starting on ABC for the 1963-64 season and in future seasons on CBS and NBC.
