The Hunger
The Hunger is a Tv horror anthology series, co-produced by Telescene Film Group Productions, Scott Free Productions and the Station The Movie Network. The Hunger the show has no direct plot or character connection to the film, though it shares a title with all the feature film, and was created by Jeff Fazio.
Originally shown in the UK on the Scifi Channel at the Usa, the show was broadcast from 1997 to 2000, and can be internally organized into 2 seasons. Each episode was established around an unaffiliated story introduced by the host. Terence Stamp hosted each episode and was replaced at the next season by David Bowie. Stories tended to concentrate on themes of obsession and appetite, with a strong component of soft-core erotica. Favorite tropes for its stories comprised also poison, witches, gender, and cannibalism.
