After being booted from their private school league for being "too good" in2018, a nearly 200-year-old Catholic school located in a community ravaged with gun violence and severe socioeconomic issues became a subject of enormous pride and then burning controversy. Without a league to play in, the squad created its own schedule, traveling the country in search of elite competition and opportunities to promote its athletes.
