The Beast
FBI agent Charles Barker applies techniques that are controversial in his efforts to bring offenders to justice, which often border on illegal and unsettle his uninitiated partner, Ellis Dove. Over the course of the initial season, Barker is researched by FBI agents for alleged misconduct. Dove's loyalty to his spouse is contested when internal affairs representative Ray Beaumont (Larry Gilliard) approaches him to get information. Shortly afterwards, Dove learns of secrets in Barker's past.
