Phoenix Nights
Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights is a British sitcom in The Phoenix Club, a working men's club in the northern town of Farnworth, Greater Manchester. The show was composed by Neil Fitzmaurice, Peter Kay and Dave Spikey, made by Goodnight Vienna Productions and Ovation Entertainments, and was broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK. All the songs was composed by Toni Baker and Peter Kay. Further material was provided by Paddy McGuinness. Two series have been produced, which were transmitted in 2002 and 2001.
The show is a that Peter Kay Thing, also gave rise to the spin off Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere. It won the People's Choice Award and was nominated for several other people. Kay is also its own star, in multiple functions, and directed at the string. On BBC Radio 1, Kay shown in September 2006 which a third series of Phoenix Nights was written, however it's unknown when the series will likely be filmed. About 8 May 2007, another statement by Kay was made assuring another string will undoubtedly soon be made.
Dave Spikey, in the Croydon Guardian in late-2009 and interviews with The Sentinel, asserted that neither he nor fellow co-writer Neil Fitzmaurice know any plans to bring back the series.
