Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge
Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge is a BBC Television Collection of six episodes, and a Christmas special in 1995. It's named after the song"Knowing Me, Knowing You" by ABBA, which was used because the show's title music.
Steve Coogan played the incompetent but sponsor, Alan Partridge. Alan was a character in the Oval radio series On the Hour. Knowing Me Knowing You had been written by Coogan, Armando Iannucci and Patrick Marber, with gifts from the regular supporting cast of David Schneider, Rebecca Front and Doon Mackichan, who performed with the weekly guests of Alan. Steve Brown provided the music and arrangements of the show, and also appeared as Glen Ponder.
The series turned into a parody of a talk series. It featured a live crowd whose laughter meant that viewers may not mistake the series for a chat series that was true. Alan continued to can be found in two series of the sitcom I'm Alan Partridge, after his lifetime afterwards both his marriage as well as TV career come to an end.
