Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House
Kiyo and also Sumire came to Kyoto from Aomori Prefecture, dreaming of becoming maiko. However after an unforeseen turn of events, Kiyo begins working as the live-in chef at the Maiko House. Their tale unfolds in Kagai, the Geiko as well as maiko area in Kyoto, along with their housemate maikos. Kiyo nurtures them daily with her homecooked dishes, and Sumire strives towards her promising future as the once-in-a-century maiko.
