Ideal
Ideal is really a black comedy sitcom, originally aired on digital channel BBC Three, created by Graham Duff and created by BBC Comedy North and Baby Cow Productions. It stars Johnny Vegas as small-time cannabis dealer Moz.
It's set in Salford, Greater Manchester, chosen because Duff was comfortable with the area with done many gigs that were standup there. The majority of the series occurs at the apartment of Moz and revolves round the diverse collection of characters who see Moz to get cannabis, socialise or perhaps possibly.
The closing theme is"Song of the Oss" from the record Nuada: Music Inspired By The Film the Wicker Man written by British band Candidate. The series has a range of paths by Californian hip hop group Ugly Duckling.
It had been broadcast at Britain on BBC Three, on amusement channel 3e at Ireland and on ABC2 at Australia.
First broadcast in 2005, seven series are shown. The most recent ended on 30 June 2011.
After the seventh series aired, Ideal was cancelled by the BBC. Following announcement, writer and founder Graham Duff composed to fans:"As some of you may have discovered, the BBC decided against commissioning an 8th series of Ideal. The rationale was that the newest channel control wanted to generate a fresh sweep. It's just a source of pride and frustration that, at the purpose of cancellation, Ideal was bringing its biggest ever audiences, its profile its own best and guest celebrities ever reviews. And the show is currently being screened in more countries than ever before - from America to Finland and outside." Fans have found a petition dedicated to saving the show.
