A Certain Magical Index
Kamijo is a student in Academy City, by which folks use science to come up with abilities. The guy's got a lot of heart luckily for a nun named Index. She is on the run from a society which covets the volumes of knowledge. When Index stumbles in to Kamijo's life, she's a faithful friend and protector, and while Kamijo's easily the weakest kid in Academy City, he's got something else going for him: the Picture Breaker, an abysmal power stored within his perfect hand which negates the powers others. It has Kamijo's devotion to Indicator that will be his best weapon in the struggle although with sorcerers and also scientists the Picture Breaker will come in handy.
