Woyzeck
Having fathered an illegitimate child along with his lover, Marie soldier Franz Woyzeck takes odd jobs around his town. One of them is volunteering for experiments ran by a community physician, who puts Woyzeck on a daily diet of peas. This serves to drive him close to madness, and the discovery that Marie is included in an affair with the local major exacerbates the situation. Pushed too far, violence is resorted to by Woyzeck.
