White Irish Drinkers
A coming of age tale embeded in 1975 working-class Brooklyn, in which two adolescent siblings dealing with their abusive papa as well as their well-meaning but inadequate mom are caught up in a life of petty crime. Older sibling Danny concocts a bold scheme to steal sufficient money for both to escape, timed around the turmoil of an upcoming Rolling Stones show. The delicate younger bro, Brian, inevitably has an option: remain dedicated to the brother with whom he shares a powerful love-hate bond, or utilize his concealed talent as an artist as his own ticket out of their dead-end presence.
