Westfront 1918
In the trenches of France, a group of German infantrymen from the First World War live out their days. Their lives are filled with horror as attacks on and from the French army ebb and flow. When one of the men, Karl, returns home on leave, he discovers his family's poverty. He returns to the front lines just in time to face a massive French tank offensive.
