Vatel
Back in 1671, with war brewing with Holland, a penniless prince inquires Louis XIV to 3 days of celebrations at a chateau at Chantilly. The prince wishes a commission because an overall, so the extravagances would be to impress the king. Accountable of most is your steward, Vatel. The prince is craven in his longing for stature: no job is too menial or dishonorable for him to offer Vatel. He finds himself attracted to Anne de Montausier, the king mistress, while Vatel tries to preserve faith. Back in Vatel, she finds someone who is authentic, living his principles out over the casual cruelties of politics. Would the 2 of them escape unscathed?
