A grieving mother is visited by an unusual therapist who gives her a hallucinogenic substance that will allow her to communicate with the dead after her daughter commits suicide. Accepting the offer out of desperation to better understand her daughter's psychology, she quickly finds herself horrified by her daughter's similar experiences.
