Due to this noise and insanity of ny and late night Eisenhower-era America's crushing conventions, itinerant journalist Paul Kemp travels into the island of Puerto Rico to compose a San Juan paper run by the editor Lotterman. Adopting the rum-soaked lifestyle of this late'50s version of Hemingway's'The Lost Generation','' Paul becomes entangled with an extremely attractive American woman and her fiancéea business man engaged in property development deals. It is that Kemp finds his true voice.
