The Reader
The narrative of Michael Berg, a German lawyer who, being a teen in the late 1950s, had an affair with an elderly woman, Hanna, who subsequently vanished and then resurface years after a portion of the defendants at a war crimes trial originating out of her activities like a concentration camp guard late in the warfare. He realizes that Hanna is illiterate and might be concealing that fact.
