The Nun
Suzanne Simonin refers to her life of suffering in letters. As a young woman she is delivered to a convent against her own will. That they pick she must become a nun, since her parents cannot afford the dowry required for a union befitting her standing that. Although a kind and understanding Mother Superior helps her to learn that the convent routine, Suzanne's desire for freedom remains unabated. Suzanne finds himself faced with harassment, humiliation and reprisals as a result of the recent Abbess and the Sisters when mom Superior expires.
