The Ballad of Narayama
In Kabuki style, the movie tells the story of a mountain village where the scarcity of food contributes to some voluntary but socially-enforced policy by which family members carry family members up Narayama mountain to perish. Granny Orin is currently coming 70, happy to embrace her fate. Her son Tatsuhei can't tolerate losing his mother, even as she enrolls his marriage into your widow his era. Her grandson Kesa, who is girl friend is selfishly pleased to see Orin expire. Around them, a family of thieves have been dealt with severely, along with an elderly man, past 70, whose son has cast out him, scrounges for food. Can the adoring and accepting soul of Orin teach and ennoble her loved ones?
