After his younger brother's departure, a troubled street singer out of Los Angeles is able to by pass juvenile hall by enrolling from the black, Truth University at Atlanta, Georgia. However, his efforts to get an instruction and woo the girl he enjoys when he is courted by the top-two college fraternities, both of that need and need his fierce street-style dancing are sidelined moves to win the most coveted federal step show competition.
