Stephanie, a troubled as well as vivid starlet, fulfills Gerard, an NYPD counter-terrorism specialist who's a fanatic of experimental cinema (and perhaps out of his mind). Flirtation occurs, ends disastrously, and also pressures Stephanie to the ramshackle house of musician Eleanor Friedberger, a supposed retreat contaminated by terrible memories of her past life.
