Ship of Theseus
This first feature picture from Indian playwright Anand Gandhi, tells three stories of persons forced to consider about the ethics and moral problems raised by clinical improvements: some visually impaired Egyptian photographer, who after a cornea transplant has difficulty adapting to her new found sense of sight. A devout Indian monk fighting. As well as learns regarding the illegal commerce in organs and makes the decision to help a victim of theft - even though it indicates travelling all of the way to Sweden from India.
The movie was first shown at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received great critical acclaim and has been touted as"the hidden gem of this entire year". It premiered at July 2013 in India, and has been awarded Best Feature Film of 2013.
