Restoration
A young physician, Robert Merivel found himself and conserves the life span of some one close to the King. The King's court is joined by merivel and lives the high life supplied to some his position. To be able to divert the queens suspicions, merivel is arranged to marry his King's mistress. He is awarded one command by the king and that isn't to fall in love. When Merivel finds himself deeply in love with his wife the situation worsens. Finally, the King relieves Merivel of wealth and his position and discovers. Merivel is left by his fall from grace. And during his travels and reunions with an elderly friend, he rediscovers what it really seems to be a physician and his love to get authentic medicine.
