Place in 1958, Populaire specializes in Rose Pamphyle, who resides with her widowed father and is destined to marry a son of the mechanic. Rose travels out of town and also applies for a job with an insurance bureau. Louis finds that Rose could type with extraordinary rate -- with two fingers -- he tells her to compete at a competition when she wants the occupation.
