Ivan Lashin, a farm boy who works at home, met director Vitaly Suslin. The director and the young guy collaborated on the script for "Head. Two Ears", in which Ivan played himself. The script won the prestigious Kinotavr festival in Russia, and the film also won the Russian Film Critics Guild Award.
