Oedipus Rex
In Italy, a new couple have a baby boy. The dad is covetous of his son - at which the infant is taken into the desert to become killed and also the spectacle moves into antiquity. He's rescued, given the name Edipo (Oedipus), also brought up by the King and Queen of Corinth because of his son. An oracle in forms Edipo that he is destined to kill his father and wed his mother one day. Horrified, he flees Corinth and his presumed parents only to get into a fight and kill an older man on the road...
