Aliah Rupawala is a Bohri Muslim girl who is 24 years old and comes from a highly traditional household. She then goes behind his back and enrolls in training to become a suicide prevention counselor. On her very first day on the job, she comes face to face with a 52-year-old guy who is going to leap off the terrace of a high-rise. As she starts to try to bring him down, she is forced to address the reasons why she became a suicide prevention counselor in the first place. She is also forced to disclose a lot of herself in order to encourage him to discuss and open up about his feelings and experiences. She decides to give it her best in order to save him, and as a result, she begins to confront and let go of the feelings of isolation and loss that she has within herself in order to be able to do the same for the caller. And as a result of her actions, not only does her own heart end up being healed, but also the heart of the man who called, who was himself a suicide prevention counselor for 15 years.
