Molly Maxwell
At Phoenix Progressive School, students take notes lying on parlor couches and are invited to explore their own abilities through electives such as break-dancing and graphic-novel writing. Before she embarks under the tutelage of her teacher, Ben, in the midst of this liberal pedagogy and gift, Molly Maxwell feels unexceptional. Their relationship quickly grows past the darkroom, setting Ben's role in jeopardy, also introducing Molly into the throes of a first love.
