Meteor
After a collision with a comet, a not quite 8km wide piece of the asteroid"Orpheus" is going towards Earth. It will cause a tragedy which will extinguish mankind if it will hit. To halt the meteor NASA wants to make use of the prohibited nuclear weapon satellite"Hercules" but finds so on that it will not always have enough firepower. Their only chance to save yourself the world is to combine forces with all the USSR who've launched this kind of illegal satellite. But will both governments agree?
