King of Beggars
The illiterate General of Canton, General Thus, recommends a life style of sex and dollars. His spoiled along with illiterate son, Chan (Stephen Chow), is his faithful disciple. For a woman's love, Chan attends the national examinations for Fighting Styles Scholar in Peking. Chan is victorious on the physical exam, but he is found to have cheated on the written exam, before he is to be crowned. The Emperor sentences Chan for considered a beggar. With some assistance that is mystical, he assumes the position as King of the Beggars Association, although initially Chan is unable cope with his newest job. Directing this motley team into battle against an evil warlord from the Emperor's entourage, Chan rescues the Emperor, also gains respect for the beggars.
