Jeannette: The Childhood of Joan of Arc
France, 1425. In the little village of Domremy, eight-year-old Jeannette tends to her flock during the Hundred Years' War. She expresses to her friend Hauviette one day that she cannot bear to see the English's actions create sorrow. The nun Madame Gervaise attempts to reason with the little girl, but Jeannette is prepared to take up arms for the saving of souls and the liberation of the Kingdom of France. She will become Joan of Arc, propelled by her beliefs.
