Jacob
In this inspirational story from Genesis, teenage shepherd Jacob (Matthew Modine) falls in love with and wishes to marry Rachel (Lara Flynn Boyle), the daughter of his Uncle Laban (Giancarlo Giannini). Without a dowry, Jacob toils as an indentured servant for seven years in order to win Rachel's hand. However, the astute Laban connives to trick him into another seven years of labor. Irene Papas stars as Jacob's obstinate mother.
