After John's absent father is struck with a bullet, then Primo takes it upon himself to reevaluate the youthful boy in the code of the roads --just one based on respect and upheld by fear. A member of the Bloods because the age of twelve--both in the film as well as in reality--Brooklyn's streets are Primo has ever known. Primo has to decide whether to leave it all behind as he attempts to become a husband and father, while John questions if to enter into this lifetime. Where the heat appears to encase all, Establish throughout those New York summertime, 5 star plunges in to group culture. Director Keith Miller observes the lifestyles of both these two men using a quiet yet pointed distance, carefully eschewing worn clichés through its focus. Distinctions between fiction and real life remain intentionally ambiguous, permitting these two men's story because they face the question of what it means to be a guy to resonate beyond the streets.
