El analfabeto
A letter informs Inocencio Prieto y Calvo that he is the heir to his uncle's two million peso wealth. Because he cannot read, he has no idea who sent the letter or what its contents are. Therefore, he goes to the pharmacy, where the pharmacist can read him the letter. While waiting to be assisted, he notices a young girl who can read. He concludes that he must be able to uncover the letter's contents on his own, so he saves the letter, goes to school, and waits to read it on his own time.
