Break Up
Jimmy is married to Frank, who is abusive, but she is saving money so she may leave. As a result of one of his beatings, she's been deaf for a year. He pushes her down the stairway one night, and she ends up in the hospital. The cops want to talk to her after a burnt body in her husband's car is found from a pond, but she rushes to her sister's, loses her savings pass-book, and then discovers her bank account has been drained. She flees the scene, with the same cops pursuing her, and soon realizes Frank isn't dead. Getting her money back, confronting Frank, appeasing the cops, and regaining her freedom might be more than she can take. authored by
