The well-known explorer and hunter Captain Spaulding has just came back from Africa, and is being welcomed home with a lavish party at the real estate of influential society matron Mrs. Rittenhouse if a valuable painting goes missing. While cooperating with his eponymous along with the anarchic Signor Emanuel Ravelli sidekick The Professor, the Captain Spaulding attempts to fix the crime with the assistance of his secretary Horatio Jamison.
