An Officer and a Gentleman
Zack Mayo is. Once he arrives at training camp for his or her 13-week officer's course, Mayo runs afoul of abrasive, and nononsense drill Sergeant Emil Foley. Mayo is a wonderful cadet, but just a little cold around the heart Foley rides him mercilessly, sensing that the young man will be prime officer material if he weren't therefore selfinvolved. The affair having a girl of zack is compromised by his unwillingness.
