A Simple Twist of Fate
If the woman he loves throws Michael McCann, he becomes something of a miser and a misanthrope, spending most of his spare money. Living in the town is a wealthy family with 2 sons: Tanny and John. Tanny's a crazy boy, whom John cannot control, and yet one night he breaks into the house of McCann, also enjoys the gold and disappears, which confirms McCann's skepticism of humankind. But then, a mysterious woman dies in the snow out McCann's house, along with her small daughter makes her solution to the house of McCann and right into the heart and life of McCann. He lifts her, also names her Matilda, finding a brand new happiness in life and companionship along with his adopted daughter. However, them can rip apart.
