A Resistance
For starting a peaceful demonstration for the independence of Korea, the March 1 Movement during Japanese rule, YU Gwan-sun is famous. Undaunted, YU unites her fellow inmates to resist Japan. The security chief senses the resistance, entices an inmate to find out YU Gwan-sun is supporting it, then tortures her. Later, Gwan-sun pretends to comply with the Japanese while. This movement spreads to the roads, and YU is exposed to torture again. Her spirit is liberated and more liberated than ever though she dies two weeks before she's set to be discharged .
