40: The Temptation of Christ
It's in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke that you can read about how Christ was tempted. People who read these texts say that after he was baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus went on a fast for 40 days and 40 nights in the Judaean Desert. It was during this time that Satan tried to tempt Jesus and he didn't want to do it. After he turned down Satan's temptations, Jesus went back to Galilee to start his work.
