2001: A Space Travesty
Leslie Nielsen plays a bumbling detective in the vein of the'Naked Gun' movies, but this time as Marshall Richard'Dick' Dix. When odd reports are received through official channels stating that the President of this USA is being held captive to a secret global moon base named Vegan and he was replaced on Earth with a clone, the US Marshall Service immediately sends their'best' man, Dix, to the mission. Dix travels to Vegan to rescue the president, but is fast tricked and ends up returning to Earth at which he matches the clone-president and removes the one. The Dix must find a means to renew the real president before the planet earth is taken over by aliens, and revive within himself a belief in truth, justice and the American way.
