A dye factory's workers have their pay cut by 20 percent once the factory owner produces some Manchu thugs to try and increase production. Desperate to reclaim their full salary, the workers hire an actor to impersonate a priest and expert from Shaolin's temple. The factory owner punishes those included, and proves the actor a fraud. The actor feels he maintains to at one, and has allowed down the workers. He sets out for Shaolin, determined to be called a kung fu pupil at the elite temple.
