It is the summer of 1980 in East Germany and, independently, Barbara is restricted to working and alive as a physician in a small town - her punishment for trying to emigrate to the West. She's just one attention. To escape and for this, she's to wait. Off path, her supervisor in a healthcare facility, takes her until Andre. Are his reasons of love or duty to the authorities? The pretense, and content supervision slowly take their toll as the tension builds.
