At the turn of this century Prince Edward Island, Matthew Cuthbert and his sister Marilla opt to take on an orphan boy help for their plantation. However they get an unexpected jolt when they delivered a girl Anne Shirley. Anne's a dreamer having an odd viewpoint, far removed from Marilla's pragmatic approaches, which is only on trial which Marilla agrees to maintain Anne.
